SWIMMING VICTORIA TEAM UP WITH EVO TO OPTIMISE PERFORMANCE

Melbourne, Friday August 5th 2016

Swimming Victoria is thrilled to announce a ground–breaking new partnership with Melbourne–based apparel supplier EVO Sportswear who will be supplying all of the governing body’s high performance garments for the next two years.

EVO Sportswear enjoys official apparel supplier agreements with some of Australia’s leading clubs, associations and sporting bodies providing bespoke teamwear made to the highest levels of craftsmanship and customisation.

Swimming Victoria Chief Executive Officer Jason Hellwig says the partnership is an exciting one for both parties.

“EVO Sportswear are a fresh face on the high performance apparel scene and we were pleasantly surprised with what they offer our organisation.

“We don’t enter into arrangements like this lightly, and our search was extensive,” says Hellwig.

“From an elite development perspective we were impressed with the range of garments EVO can offer our representative teams and staff, all with a heavy emphasis on the very best in terms of technology, fabrics and designs, ensuring our teams look and feel great.”

With a range of custom teamwear and equipment across a dozen sports, EVO Sportswear spokesman Marcus Stergiopoulos has been amazed by swimming’s uptake with the brand.

“While we deliver high quality performance garments across a broad category of sports, we’ve seen an enormous amount of interest and growth in the swimming category, which is exciting,” explains Stergiopoulos.

“With swimming continuing to be one of Australia’s leading participation sports, it’s a space we love playing in, and we’re ecstatic to have Swimming Victoria joining us on this journey.

“EVO offers an unprecedented level of customisation options, and we’re looking forward to delivering Swimming Victoria a bespoke look and feel that is unique and iconic, playing our own small part in the development of the next generation of Victorian Olympians and Commonwealth Games stars,” says Stergiopoulos.
